In Mousesteps Weekly #84, we talk:
Camp Minnie-Mickey, which closed forever after January 5th. We were there for the last day to take photos and video, and to meet characters (including Pocahontas, Meeko, Donald and Chip & Dale) on their trails. We also met Governor Ratcliffe, who we rarely see in the parks! Meeko and Chip & Dale can't keep their paws out of our bags, searching for food. Camp Minnie-Mickey will be closing for the creation of an Avatar inspired land.
We now have Universal Studios annual passes, and we took some photos around the park while enjoying the last day of Grinchmas. We used our Photo Connect passes for some fun photos, we highly recommend Photo Connect! Our dinner was at Finnegan's, a terrific meal at a reasonable price.
We talk about the upcoming Cabana Bay Resort, which is a moderate/value resort opening this year at Universal. They also now have Minion rooms at Loews Portofino Bay Resort, and changes are happening to CityWalk!
We found the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train running at the Magic Kingdom, we look forward to it's opening in 2014!
There are many things to look forward to in 2014, we look at a few of them including Harry Potter 2.0 at Universal Studios; The Festival of Fantasy Parade at the Magic Kingdom, and the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival! New Kermit and Miss Piggy topiaries will be at the Festival this year.
We spent Jeff's birthday at the Magic Kingdom, and were glad to see that the "Let the Memories Begin" sign is now gone! The trolley show was being held with the fire engine, and we look around the park as January brings construction and refurbishments. The Incredibles Super Dance Party included Mr. and Mrs. Incredible along with Frozone.
We take a last look back at fireworks over the Main Street Train Station!
